Sketch Style is a simpler composition where details are utilized to capture the character of the subject with a free and loose interpretation throughout the piece often using mixed media.

Please note the 5x7 size can accommodate up to 2 subjects so more than that should be on a bigger paper to maintain the quality of detail.

Timing is dependent on the size and how many subjects included and if there are other orders in process. I will confirm timing with you at the time of order but it's a good rule to plan on about 2 weeks to complete from deposit to ready for shipping or pick up.
Sketch Style People and Pets
Subjects should be in good lighting, well focused, detailed and digitally sent. Multiple photos of the subject work best and any input you have is helpful. Your general feel of the area or subject, what your favorite part is, what stands out, and what you prefer to see less of are all things that can help direct me to capture the character of the piece. It's the little details and feelings of the moment that make it personal. I can also combine images and change the background or scenery as needed.
I can work with old or damaged pictures upon request however the final piece may not be as detailed depending on the circumstance.
I like to have your input to make sure it is going in the direction you want however it is hard to see what it will look like halfway done as the middle process can look like a bit like a blob. For this reason I tend not to share progress work until it is nearly finished or ready for dark details, unless requested.
Once the composition is agreed on, 2 small changes are included in the pricing before it is officially finished. (eye shape or color, background details, small shape changes etc). Larger changes (position change, adding or removing subjects, major tone changes, etc) will require additional charges and may not be entirely possible once dark details have been made but my goal is always to give you something that you love.
